        It's not a new thing by any stretch, i first saw it (or at least one of it's predecessors) around about 8 or 9 years ago now. In it's current guise it's actually surprisingly well rated for us though it still has the problem of only fitting where you've got doors.

        Still it's less than half the price of a thule system or 2/3rds of the price of the paddy hopkirk/halfords systems which have exactly the same downfall so if you only use your rack occasionally i'd be tempted.

            They work really well for snowboards, my mate has a set.
