15 thou is a general gap measurement for most cars of that era so you won't go far wrong with that,if you have electronic ignition fitted then you could widen the gap to about 20 thou as you are not breaking a spark as such just the firing circuit on a transistor and as such you will get little or no wear on the points like you would on a conventional circuit.

Thanks guys. We have a strobe light but not a dwell meter. Its not my motor its my mate Lukes Hilux crew cab with the 22 inch lift and 44 inch tyres. At first we used a step ladder but it easier to kneel on the floor and do it from underneath.
