Sorry to bump this, but has anyone got any info on the 4th gen?

I can't seem to find much.

I like the new gen of hilux, but want it "surfed".

That's not too bad, to be honest ..

Then get on the option list for the arches of the Artic/Antartic and a massive set of baloon tyres.

Unless you're planning a trip to the Arctic / Antarctic they'd be a bit pointless mate. It'd be like driving a bouncy castle on tarmac!

I'd happily have a 4th gen, fit a set of proper wheels and tyres, lose the side steps and a decent winch bumper.....

                            Sorted.

I'm just "thinking out loud" for when I end up in Oz in a year or two.

The latter Surfs are respectable enough to be parked in a works carpark, but capable enough to actually go offroading.

I respect the gen1/2, but they are a bit too agricultural for me to turn up at a customers site in one.

Looks like the gen4 is a big change for the interior. I suppose having the Lexus SUV to borrow stuff from helps.
