any one here taken tranadol (maybe not the right spelling)
since i taken tramadol witch i can not take no more what so ever
but since i stoped taking them
i have these mad happenings with my arms and legs
they just fling out on there own
its worrying and funny at the same time
like counting 5p's my arm just went above my head like linghting
5p's every were
other day my arm flicked out and i whacked the wall
my legs go nuts from time to time too keep kicking in bed with out even knowing iam doing it
and its only since the tramadol
any one else use this drug or suffer the same ?

Tramadol is an Opioid analgesic, which in common with other drugs have interactions with other drugs. Without further information, it would be difficult to comment on the clonic movements of your limbs! Having said that, I cannot find any reference to the side-effects (described by you) having been caused by Tramadol, or other opioid analgesics. Hope this helps!

My Other Half Is On Tramadol, She Wakes Up In The Mornings And And Can't Move Her Hands And Legs For The The First Half Hour. Also If She Takes More Than One A Day She Starts Hearing Voices And Seeing People That Aren't There. She Was Told There Shouldn't Be No Side Effects When She Comes Off Them But You Do Have To Be Weened Off I Don't Think You Can Stop Just Like That.good Luck Any Way Hope You Feel Better Soon........

Yes geoff takes tramadol but has had nothing bad happen with them.

i used it had to come off it i get the arm and leg movements was told by gp the discs can move and press on the nerve i now take Diconal,Amitriptyline,Naproxin ,hope things are not to bad for you George keep smiling

my GP is not a very nice man
last time i saw him a few mounths ago
he told me
in his own words

2 days later i needed to be feed intrasveanesly
to keep me alive

no wonder i dont see my GP i hold off from smacking him in the noise

i can not take any powerfull painkillers
i take 4000 mg paracetamol a day
but ya must keep smiling

2 things to do here, firstly, change your doctor. Secondly, report your current doctor to the GMC. If he did say that to you, he'll be struck off.

he did say that too me
i want to change doctors just not got very much faith left in them now
i know they cant all be the same
i have made 2 complaints about him before
and iam not alone
the stuff this doctor has done would make your hair curl

Geoff takes Loperamide, ibuprofen, Amiitriptyline, cocodamol and tramadol and thats just to keep him walking. They are now on about injecting sugar into his spine now to see if that will work. Point being he,s on all these tablets which only just take the edge off the pain he,s in and after all that they still go back to some think natural like sugar. I don't believe any of these tablets work properly. If i were you i would seek something better and seek a better doctor as well.

i have been known to use canabis from time to time
it works!
best night sleep i have had in 4 years
but i should not have to turn to this
even morphine dont work on my back pain
but the canabis did?
poo what a smell it gives off when smoked
but i ate it in a cake
iam not reconmending it dont get me wrong iam just saying it has worked for me in the past

I had to ween off Tramadol n be replaced with amongst others as Diconal, Amitriptyline, Naproxin, short term Morphin .... n life's bearable ...

I take tramadol. I get the same twithces with my legs but thisis as aresult of the nerve damage in my spine. I have never heard of tramadol causing the problems you say. I have to keep on the pain killers just to get me through the day. I take now pregabalin, tramadol, co-codamol and morphine plus regular epidurals. The real bummer is I can't go out in the suf off roading as i can't bear the pain Deff change doctors and report him to the GMC. Hope you get to the bottom of the problem. x

i did take the same has you for my spine
but i have a disease in my bowl now
so i have to stay away from strong painkillers

i was blaming the tramadol but it seem the there is a few of us that have the twitchs
and we all have a spine problem

After reading this I realise how fortunate I am. I'm in my early fifties and have never had to take any long term medication. Apart from the usual aspirin, anti biotics and the odd pain killer now and again, I've managed to get by.

I'm not saying I'm as fit as a fiddle and I have been in varying amounts of pain from time to time i.e. back and right knee, but luckily I've managed to avoid any long term medication.

Next time I have the odd twinge of pain and feel like a bit of a grumble, I'll try and remember others that aren't as well off as myself. (Although in saying all that I do find a bit of a grumble does help!)
