cmon guys, help me out here

right guys i need to get the sump off.....disconnected driveshafts,,removed crossmember and the diff will only go up ! wot the fu** is going on...please someone talk me through the removal of the sump.... how do i get to the sump bolts , how do i drop the diff ? I'm pulling my hair out and dont really want to look like kojak ! your advice would be greatly appreciated asap.................surf is now on axle stands half in the garage and that is just inviting garage thieving type little shites so i wont be sleeping much til the sump is off nev....tony..bushwacker....... ..give me a bit of sense.cheers

Remove front propshaft.
Remove the six nuts on the 'tulip' joints either side of the diff and allow driveshafts to drop free.
Disconnect the A.D.D. vacuum hoses and switch connector (Make a note or digi photo of what goes where)
Remove the front mounting bolt and nut.
Support the front diff with a jack and remove the left and right mounting bolts.
Lower and remove diff.

i apologise for the bad use of the asterix's, reason being i'd spent 3 hours under the surf to no avail and had then consumed a few tinnies....apologies again...

left and right mounting bolts

what is the best stategy to remove theses two bolts? do i lock a spanner onto the top nut and undo the bolt with a socket wrench also do i need any specialist socket attachments to get at some of the sump bolts? cheers for any advise received.

I realy feel for you mate, it's your own fault for living in cardiff if you were a bit closer i could of come and watched

the 2 diff mounting bolts should come undone with a spanner on top and a socket/spanner undernearh and should come undone quite easy

nearly there

diff is off ! i've now got 3 bolts on passenger side of sump and one on drivers side that i can't undo cos i only got basic socket set. Question....what tool do i need to get to and undo these bolts (only chaps who0've done it themselves will know the bolts i'm tralking about and what to use) hope to hear from someone soon....cheers all
