  • XBox 360 shooting game thingy

Right, so here I am at home, the guy I let use my house during the week (cos he works at the same firm as me in Warwick and lives nr Gatwick) has gone out to have curry and left me to play Xbox games - great I thought, having seen him play them a few times, this should be fun......

God - how inexplicably dull - oh I'm dead, restart - oh, people coming out of nowhere, oh I'm dead, restart - repeat until asleep.....

    I'm soooooo glad I didn't buy one......
Too old to care, young enough to remember

      I love them!

Call Of Duty 4 is awesome on Xbox Live!

Got the whole trio of consoles! 360 Elite, Wii an PS3.

Just got GT5 Prologue.... tiny bit disapointing, all the driver aids have to be off to make it half decent! All the modern simulator driving games feel like a scalectrix game!

Project Gotham 4 is amazing!! Get an Xbox 360 Vince an try that one!

I'm assuming you were playing COD 4, the single most frustrating game in the history of gaming - at least in multiplayer mode it is. You are competing against very talented people from all over the world, and they are, quite simply, much better than you. I've stuck with it, and can kinda hold my own now (I got it for the kids honest!!) and have to agree its probably the best game I've ever played.

Driving games seem to excel on the Xbox, and they are quite addictive, but for anything else, FPS and the like, you cannot get better than a PC for playing them on in my opinion, I've played COD4 on PS3, Xbox and PC, and PC wins hands down.
        If you play with fire.....

Excuse me asking, but what's a 'goddlin'?

Got to agree with you on COD4. It's the only game I've ever played on-line and I'm totally hooked. I've currently got five player ID's on the go, three at L55, one at L46 and another at L38. I'd hate to calculate the number of on-line hours that represents, but sufficed to say I don't ever get on here from home any more as I'm usually too busy killing the opposition, or getting stuffed by them. I also like to start again from scratch and work my way up, rather than always running around with a L55 ID.

I usually play as a sniper, as my little PC screen isn't great for picking out details of the opposition at long range using red dot sights and I find the ACOG frustrating to use as the sight picture wobbles all over the place. So I usually play using the sniper scope and go for head shots as well. However, that usually means I don't move about much, so I tend to get shot a lot. Having said that, I've got top score on a few occasions playing in sniper mode on low player number servers, as airstrikes and heli's can add significantly to your tally. Doesn't work though playing on the 50 player sites as there's always someone else racking up huge scores, which leaves the snipers with very little to aim at.
