as for your probs, the back seats should have a small pull strap, around the middle of the back lower seat. as for the gearlevel no is the answer.
by the way it would help if you filled out your profile

Thanks Sledge,
found the straps so sorted there. wish i´d bought myself a monster ford after seeing your link!! hehe NOT. what the F*** are these people thinking?!
there is a grinding / crunching sound, not too heavy, coming from the left wheel when i turn left, could this be bearings?? if so is it hard / costly to remedyż

Welcome Sid,
Make yourself at home and feel free to join in the banter
If your grinding noise is only on full lock you need some grease on your steering stops - a search here will reveal all

hi Trev,
thanks for the welcome. nice. it is when on full lock so i guess thats the issue. i´ve just bought this motor, so still teething. i had a hi lux pick up about 8 yrs ago for a few years, great motor...indestrucatble until i ran over a rock the size of a sheep in the middle of the highway...so now am on the surf tip as it´s closed at the back. the Mot is new but has an advisory...have copiedpasted below....any advise as i haven´t got a clue! am doing a drive to spain next week 5hrs to portsmouth then bibao to denia also about 400miles...what do you think..will it make it!?
Advisory Notice issued
Front wheels Your vehicle has only just met the front brake imbalance requirements. It would appear that the braking system requires adjustment or repair. (3.7.A.2e)
Front brakes and fuel pump need attention

Mate, if I were travelling that distance with an advisory on brakes and fuel pump I'd be cr@pping myself with every mile that passed!
Surely you don't want to take the risk of driving to Spain with dodgy brakes?
Be safe, get them looked at before setting off, goodness knows how much it would cost to repair over there and you may have difficulty getting the parts.'Tis better to sting than to be stung!
