are they quite easy to tune to different companies frequencies?...

Tarmac use them in their mixers and it would be quite handy to be able to talk to them, but each depot uses a different channel within a designated frequency range... not like the set 40ch UKCB

Yeah just see what channel freq they are on. If u don't wanna ask them ofcom will know lol
All PMR are on the 70cm band (uhf/vhf) but devided in channels.
They are classed as high power comercial radio's and the company needs a licence (£60 per year I think)
                Now cb is HF 27mghz.

If u get a cheap pmr radio tho u can just hook it to the pc and program it to their channels. Every local taxi company will do it for u if u ask nicely lol or I can do it if u send it or on a meet on the laptop.
One day at the time I guess..

I am truly sorry for my false writing of the English language and shall try harder to keep my spelling and grammar in tip top condition.

Ps. Is the 18th OK to pay my subs as this is my next pay date?

Of course it is. Paying them isn't compulsary, you'll just get nagged about it if you don't pay.

                              On the subject of CBs...........
Many moons ago you could get decent portables (hand helds), are there any available now that everyone uses the FM frequency?
Also there used to be a sliding mount you could fix on or under your dash so you could slip it in and out(oooer missis)
One half fixed to your radio the other hallf screwed to the dash!
Anyone know if you can still get them, i'd like to be able to swap a rig from my car to my van quite often!
I miss the days when you could sit in your motor and talk to a couple of guys meeting up for a fishing trip in the States ( good old upper sidebands!)

the slide in/out mounts are definately still available, been looking at hand helds on ebay recently as a spare and they seem to be fairly cheap 2nd hand. but don't expect great performance from any handheld in a vehicle. try thunderpole, knights cb, or communications eleven for the mount.
