I brought my steerig knobs for £2.99 in TESCO's of all places be careful though to legaly drive you need full use of both arms unless resigtered disabled otherwise your insurance is invalid. I went though this when I had my left shoulder re-built.

Looks like there is a big enough knob in his truck already. Better sticking to buying a steering aid while he is hurt.
