Audi Probs, Lil Help Please

Just recently she has been intermittantly starting then dying instantly, try it again and the same until after 3 goes shes fine, and then fine for the next 8 or so startups, then she'll do it again. Its the immoblilser i think and hope someone knows how to get it sorted, plus is there a way of disabling the immobiliser all together? Its an audi A4b 1.8 20v 1997

is it the factory immobiliser or aftermarket?

if it's the former you need to get the ecu modified to run without the need for the ok signal from the immobiliser...

Aye factory, but i have had a reply from audi forum and they say its probably the reader coil nice n cheap, only other thing is a brake in reader coil wier and to move steering wheel up and down and that should sort it apparently.

and they say the electrics on italian cars are dodgy :roll:
