Subject: Possible case of Profiteering and Cartel practices
Dear sirs,
In this time of higher green awareness can I point you in the direction of Vegetable Oil sold by the big supermarkets - ie Tesco and Sainsburys who match their practices.
I, like many others, run my vehicle on Vegetable Oil as it is greener than diesel, being based on Oil Seed Rape it also supports our farmers without causing issues in tropical countries.
Last week when I collected my standing order from my local Sainsburys I noticed that they had matched their prices to Tescos and raised the cost for a 3 litre bottle from £2.21 to £2.98 which is a 33% rise.
A rise of this much is far from being a fair price rise, and both supermarket chains appear to raise the price in unfairly big chunks every few months.
I would welcome your views on this.
Regards
