Road Tax (again sorry)

Heard a few whispers on the ole grape vine, that come October, we'll be payin the full whack £400 a year for our tax as well. At the mo it's not so bad for me, if I tax mine now for 6 months, I think I'll just scrape before october, then buy 12 months at the cheaper rate. Has any one else heard anything? I don't want to get rid of my surf just yet!!

that's what I thought, but when I challenged the people who told me, I pretty much got shot down in flames, If they haven't got the emmission details then how can they categorise it!!

No, they aren't against the gas-guzzlers, where I live you need them, I think it may be jealousy cos they don't have a surf
I just thought it was odd that 2 different sources have come up with the same story.
