Made a right proper boob today,

Took my fuel pump off today to change the seals and took the wrong plate off and it exploded. Luckily ive got a spare fuel pump so i can put my truck back together. But my question is can it be put back together or is it a specialist job, have i buggered up the timing. has any one done this before

its afairly easy job.not.when i took mine apart i used some vaseline to hold the rollers and bearings in place in the head of the pump and slipped the body back on over the top.but you have more than likely buggered the settings up and it will need to be bench tested,shorts of swansea can do it.at a cost.

cant help with that Chris but all i got to do now is to secure the engine to a pallet and its ready to go.Nothing in the post as of yet tho

Sorry Chris can't help ya with ya pump, 20 or so years ago maybe but today it's just like any other Jigsaw puzzle + me eyesights 5hit now !!!!

Cheers, it was my own stupid fault, wasn't thinking luckily my brother's got a spare. just need to find someone to put this one back togeather before my brother finds out

Pops...Supersurf has a 3.0l in at the mo breaking if you need a pump.His number is in his thread in the parts for sale section
