Dave sort of said he pulled out into spray
Anyway, I've just had them on the phone. they are definitely calling it a write off. They want to give me 2,200 for it. Now I was a bit taken aback there. last time my car was written off I was made a stupidly low offer, but this seems very reasonable. I was all set up ready for a fight with them but for a '92 plate 2.4 with 174k on the clock and some scrapes and bumps, it seems a decent offer.
Does anyone have an opinion?

OK, You've got me there. I had hoped to have a wise-arse answer to that but I don't.
I'm buying a people carrier, and my life is over, at least until the youngest is old enough for the missus to go back to work. Possibly until the kids all leave home and I buy a sports convertable, expensive sunglasses and some really strong wig glue.

A mate had one. Very cool but seemed to be made out of extra rusty steel, and it broke a lot, and was pretty thursty too.
Nope, I think it's the boring Sharan/galaxy/alhambra route for me for now. We're a bit strapped now, but the wife had a pretty good job before we had kids, and as soon as she goes back there will be plenty of toy money.
To be honest, although I loved the surf I don't think I'll have another even when I can afford it. I fancy a cloth top offroader next. maybe an old style willis jeep or something.
