OK so I did say mine goes to 3 figures easily....yes it does But that does not mean that I drive it there often. Empty road, it has been known and off road (track) yes again. I am somewhat suprised by the 'holyer than thow' comments (and yes I know I can't spell either)
If I choose to drive fast occaisionally that is my perogative and provided I dont put any one else at risk then only I have to be responsible for my actions
I have driven for nigh on 40 years, had 2 collisions - neither my fault and as far as I know have not caused any either I have also been fortunate to drive a big red truck in anger and had to deal with other road users that havn't got a clue.
So like our other friend - dont judge unless you know me or are aware of how I drive
Phew....rant over just going to cool my fingers
Christ, you lot have been getting moody haven't you? Seems like just an innocent question about why you would want to drive a wobbly, two ton tractor at 100mph and high horses are being boarded as we speak.
As far as I care, you can all drive whatever speed you like (other than 40 on country lanes in front of me, then 40 past a primary school too). You know you could get points/a fine and kill somebody/yourself. Up to you. I drive at pretty much the speed limit everywhere. I run out of petrol in about five minutes if I try to go fast.
My 3rd gen 3ltr turbo inter-cooled surf has not got any bells or whistles and since I had the head replaced reaches three figures easily and that's hauling carpentry tools loaded up to the windows with the back seats down. I really need to get some up-rated rear springs as the front tends to look like a motor boat at full speed.
