    the trouble with mounting the rad on the back is that i have to make an external frame to mount it.and its looks crap with anything poking out,so rad has to go under the bonnet

                        don't I remember seeing something on pirate4x4 where they mounted the rad under where the spare mounted at the rear, underneath...? with loads of fans over it...? that would get it away from teh front... then you could do some ducting thing to draw cool air (or water) over it...
