hi all just a quick question to save me from pulling the fuel tank to bits on a rover 75 at work tomorrow .
i know its not a surf but i got stuck with a 75 none runner that was sent out for an mot and they did a service at the same time as we had so much work on .
anyway car wont start so i pull the plugs out and i find 234 spark plug holes filled with oil ( new ) .
result and quick fix ( clean out and new plugs ) .
still no go so i pull of the fuel feed to the rail and get no fuel but i can hear the pump run ?
looks like it has got fuel in but i chuck in another 5 lts then i had fuel at the rail but now it has stopped .
god this is getting long
i just looked on a rover owners site ( fools ) and i think that the tank is in two halves or is partitioned ? anyone had a look in one and is the filter in the tank.
john
