  • Anyone got a place or land or a farm for My Lab to go? !!Now with pics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I Have a black lab bitch called Diva she is 10 years old and is a rescue dog. She was a worker before i got her and whilst i walk her regularly it is nowhere near enough for her and she is becoming depressed. Took her to the vets for a checkup and she is in fine fettle healthwise.

Only time she is happy is when were out and i cant give her the amount she needs.

Can anyone help with a place for her to go because she deserves to be able to run around, she has no hip problems or anything and infact is in superb condition.

Very friendly, good with children, and very very loyal, she can be a bit grouchy with other dogs if theyre in her face but otherwise is fine with our other dog.

Can anyone help her out, i may travel to give her a good home. She will be missed badly

    Sorry, couldn't resist.

I know what you mean though, our dog is looking fed up lately what with the baby and the atrocious weather, he's feeling left out., but when I do take him for a run he spends the whole of the next day sleeping!

hehehe, no its a shame really our other dog is fine and dandy its just diva is a worker and its in her blood to be on the go, 1.5 hours a day is not enough so if she can just have even a big garden she'll be alot happier. Iwant to keep her but i cant let her become depressed like this.

      BTW link didnt work mate

I have a massive garden and a soft spot for black labs, I had one for more than 10 years but sadly I can't help you out Carl, I'm at work all day and so is my missus.

hope you find her a good home.

i'm honestly not taking the pi55 here (wouldn't joke about an animals health/welfare) but have you considered trying her on a treadmill if its a lack of exercise causing the depression. it wouldn't take long to teach any intelligent dog how to walk on one and it may solve the depression a bit.

it's no substitution for a good run in a field or through a forest but it may give her that bit of a kick she needs.
i swear, it was like that when i got here...

Its a good thought and ive seen it done, but unfortunately we dont have the space for a treadmill, aswell as i think she may just be outdoorsy you know. thanks though

Brillant instead of going to the pub for pint and a blether, I can just lean on the window sill and pretend. Save a fortune and it will feel excatly the same NOT.

Tie it to a tread mill and I would be front of the line to report you

firstly, i never said that it was a substitute for a proper walk (i'm sure i said that, but i may have thought that but not actually typed it - i'll check). secondly, you don't tie a dog up to anything on them. they're perfectly safe and are used to rehabilitate dogs coming back from injuries as well as for additional fitness.

sorry, but didn't want people getting wrong end of the stick as to how these things work.

don't fancy a call from the RSPCA because someone didn't know what they were talking about.

Fair enough but it's still cruel. I can understand the greyhound mob using them as many don't care once the mutt stops making them money.

But as a replacement for a run and fresh air for a family pet whos kidding who here.
