dials - specific coloured lighting

Dont know if this is any help to you, i did mine some time ago with several different colour leds, on seperate switches so i could mix & match em, nearly always have blue and red on together tho, like that combo,

no they are more like the ones in post 4 (colour wise rather than dial wise). I'll know them when I see them, but pretty hard to explain, especially the colours. But I thought people here may know the one, as there are quite a few on the roads. Maybe tomorrow I'll go to a big supermarket, one is sure to go by

ah i c,only prob is couldnt open the dials out as they have circuit boards on back for illumination,ie we only left centre dash bulb in

ok,the dials themselves glow,they have circuit boards on the back,to do the rather excellent bright needle mod he opened the dials up with a cone bit,if i did that it wud short out the dials lol

There is a flat luminescent 'plate' available (Try RS components). I cant remember what it's called right now, but it'll come to me. Been around for years, but only recently in lots of colours. I'm not sure it can be cut to shape, but its worth a look if you're of that persuasion.

Personally, I think that 'spaceship' thing is minging though. Must be a hell of a distraction when driving, but then, probably no more of a distraction than the 'bumptishbumptishbumptish' music

AND while I'm working myself up into a rant, why the f*ck do those people assume everyone else wants to listen to their sh1t music and drive everywhere with their 'Ice' at 140dB and their windows down? Is it cos it drowns out the stupid drone of their 8" diameter back box and the underbody neons scraping on the speedhumps?

I painted the Fuel, Volts ,Temp and Oil pressure gauge needles matt white and removed the green covers from the bulbs so that the needles show up better. They're too dark otherwise.

Just thought I'd mention it.
