  • New Fish: Looking at 2.4 or 3.0 D

    Hi guys & girls,

I've been sniffing around the Surf for a few months, and am waiting on payment for a big web project!

I had a Frontera Sport before, loved her so much, and was well upset when some poncy discovery driver decided that it looked better as a banna.

Was looking at spending around 4 - 5k on a Surf, and must say this site has loads of useful information for customising etc. Can I get much for 5k, or will it be a lemon?

I have started scouting around the site looking for info on fuel consumption, how much to fill the 70l tank, and how many miles this will do. Can anyone just post some hints on their rides here?

I see that they are Group 12, and insurance doesn't seem to be that much of a problem. I think the Frontera was about the same.

Anyways glad to find you guys, and if you get a chance, please feel free to visit http://www.my4x4.co.uk

5k will get you a good Surf if you shop around, some bargains on ebay at the moment.

    70l x 78p approx = £54ish, look for around 25mpg give or take 1or 2 mpg either way.
I got a 2.4 and love it, do a search on the head stuff the subject bores me now, as my every day motor its great. Comfortable, handles well on the road and very capable off the road. Looking to sell my car and get another Surf I like them so much

Hi Chewiee, welcome aboard. I reckon Nigel has got most of your questions answered, if any more arise fire away, meanwhile had a look at your site, nice, but you may want to update your link to us, its still pointing at the old arborwood mk1 version, rather than this, the new improved mk2 yotasurf one
      Keep up the good work.
