You could just get a spare wheel lifter that bolts under there so you can raise and lower your spare with ease.... there's a few people breaking trucks here at the moment..... Thats got to be the way forward...

hammerite and chassi paint mixed up (alluminium, beige,)

Still got the lifter, and opperating handle if ya need it, be carefull if you indend just anglegrinding through this, it's tensioned and will go off with a big ping,

Hi mate, these are the "U" shaped bits, i was a bit wrong in my description in the emal, they dont cross just bolt up where you see, i'm sure some of the breakers on here would let these go for a couple of quid as they aint in demand as spare parts useually, red line's marking em BTW, blue lines are the winch part, and opperating bar is just a long bar with an hook on the end plus a cranking handle that slips on the other end, you might even have one stashed under the rear seats, which is where it's kept,
