Make XP look like Vista

Have you tried this out yet? its great. I did it last night its so easy to do takes about half an hour to do but most of that time is downloading the software. http://www.windowsxlive.net/?page_id=15

dont do it unless you dont mind wiping your pc and starting over in the near future... its not worth it

I dont see why you would want to wipe your PC in the future? Its fully removable too like any other program.

actually, it does look quite good. i last looked into this about the time when vista came out. i had a build machine, so could reformat, and re-install xp and all drivers and programs within about half hour unattended.

my advice is, anyone who wants to try it, they should install virtual pc on their machine, install their xp that they have, then run the vista update and see how it goes.. but you never know what sorts of spyware or things come integrated with.

Its only a program to make XP look like Vista ie: change fonts and images ect.. If I have any probs with it Ill let you know but it looks great.

vista is crap its made to spy on you
you cant stop it doing this
vista sends info of your to a master data base its there to catch the wrong type of user
but slows your commy down will run most things with some sort of problem

sick with windows XP untill vista is about 4 years old then it will have been tweeked and will run ok
vista is just one big con

LOL the whole of windows is the same its poo.
right now at work im using xp because its less grief.
at home i use vista 64 bit, with a virtual xp machine.. but vista is still grief. one of my network cards drivers refused to work yesterday night as i was trying to go to bed.
wish i had installed windows 2003 and used that as the host. then i could run xp and vista virtually

And you know what, it works just fine. No particular problems. No it doesn't send any of my data back to anyone. Certainly better than that Linux crap, why anyone would want to subject themselves to that torture I'll never know.

Yup, I have no problem is Linux as a 'set and forget' server OS. For that it works just fine. But then again, so does Windows 2003. I have a 2003 server that sits in my back room, whirring away, day in, day out. I pretty much never have to do anything to it, it just works. Don't know if I'm going to bother upgrading it to 2008 yet, why fix something that isn't broken?
