35" + hills = ......

Well, my guts are churning over today - so im chillin out! What better way as the sun is out then goin for a nice drive in the surf!

Well, i decieded to go an visit my gran, the route to hers is loaded with steep hills an bends.

perfect to see how much the 35" tyres suck....


Now, I think i might get called out on Bullsh!t on this..... honestly...



It was fine!! I didn't have to give it that much more gas to get it up the hills. the tw*ttish steep one i lost 5mph by the time i got to the top (didnt use kickdown either)

So all in all! Im very very happy with it so far. Fuel gauge didnt seem to be moving a shocking amount either.

Im with you on that mate.

Its a lot easier to just let it make its own mind up whats best. Manuals need regearing to stop it from falling in the wrong change over bands (if thats the correct term)

e.g: The new MK6 Hilux VIGO, the earlier import models were pi$$ poor due to bad gearing between 2nd and 3rd gear. the truck wasnt happy at certain speeds in either.

thats what i think a manual surf on 35's would be like....

Yeah, I'd like to put bogger tyres and a lift on mine, but I do wonder if it's worth it, or if I'd be best to just buy an auto.
