Can anyone post a decent pic of the adjuster bolt arrangement on the alternator of a 2.4 tdi.
Ive taken the battery off, the washer bottle out and undone and raised the A/C pump out of the way. got the pivot bolt out of the alternator, now need to get an EASYOUT from my mate in the morning then i can get the broken bolt out and start putting things back!!
Trouble is the top bolt has sheared off resulting in the alternator adjuster falling to bits, so i dont know how it should go back together!!!
    All help gratefully received!!
    thanks
    Alan

            here we are alan,
the long bolt does the adjusting, and the block it passes through, needs to be attached to the alternator

BDT2......... yes Andy that is mud INSIDE the engine bay, stillthere from nov 25th laning!!!!!

The square adjuster block and the other half of the alternator bolt were found on top of the air con rad, and there was no nut on the long pivot bolt that holds the alternator on!!!

Yes mate, its just a temp earth to the spots on the A bar, so i could check them out.
Will get some black cable and route it neatly in the next couple of weeks!
(if i can afford it, need two front tyres desperately!!)
