Been waiting all week for my friday night chienese and booze up followed by nice lie in.(well at least until smeegle jumps into bed)
7am, phone call from council requesting my wife to help out as part of a volenteer fast emergency responce team. There was a fire in a HMO in Haringey and about 40 people needed help with clothes, food accomadation etc. She just rang me to fill me in on the details.As these people have lost everything she was running them around to their friends (no mobiles or numbers) to see if they could help.
This is the first time she has been called out to help and although at first i was pi**ed, now I realise what these people are going through, I'm very proud of her and people like her who give up their time to help others in trouble for free.
