  • Smilies And Appropriate Use Of.

Just wondered about smilie use. I love smilies, some hate them. Thing is I try to use a smilie that's appropriate to the comment I'm making (yeah I know it's a little anal, but what the hey!)

Others seem to throw smilies in willy nilly. What's your take on this? Are you an appropriate user, or a willy nilly, or are you (like I suspect) a couldn't give a toss either way user?

(By the way I'm bored and still suffering manflu hence the pointless post).

'Tis better to sting than to be stung!

I try to use them appropriately, but I also use the scatter-gun approach on occasion.

I would like to nominate PirateStorm for his enthusiastic use of the ROTFL smiley!
MattF for the big grin smiley.

I use them if I can find one that seems relevant to what I'm posting.
