Dammit man, we could have made him read all 30 pages to find that out. Honestly, some people just ruin all the fun....

Just on a slight deviation, another method which may be more noticeable than a banner at the top of the page, (as pop-ups ought to be avoided if possible as they are rather annoying and easily disabled to boot), would be the method you see used quite a lot for adsense, where the banner is actually placed in the body of the thread, between the first and second post. Inline tends to make them more noticeable.

Would it not be better to have the subscription at £15 without the stickers, as purely an upkeep and running costs of forum sub, and do an £18 sub that gets you the stickers to boot? It's a slim enough difference and you'd get the actual £15 quid towards running costs then, and £3 quid extra for the stickers if required.

Out of this £15 (previously £10) it has to subsidise the stickers and postage and pay pal fees so will end up nearer £12 towards the running costs.

This banner/add/popup will only be seen by those not contributing.

I have no objection to a increase in subs ........also a idea
Why not make it £10 for 6 months or £15 a year .......like new people think that they will get a bargin for a years membership .......also encourage new members that hang arround that it worth the donation.
If you up the price too much you will drive people away in the long term
Also look into the other methods of raising income without being too invasive
