someone probably had it as an exotic pet and then dumped it. badshot lea big pond near me used to have big terrapins that people dumped there, surviving well they were. dont know if they still there, haven't fished for a couple of years there but will be starting again at start of next season.
What you fishing for dave?? ...........(as in a episode of red dwarf)Condom fishing ....caught a 2lb black ribbed knobbler
seriously what type of fishing you going to do
me and my older brother used to fish all the time when we were kids. just floating, a pint of maggots and sweetcorn for bait, nothing specialised. if anyone here knows the farnham society waters, in particular badshot lea small pond, you can catch easy as. which is good, coz im a crap fisherman. just like the scenery and quiet (and a couple of cans of beer) of a day and nights fishing.
couldn't get into the carping like some people we fished with do these days...sit there for 3 days and catch nothing some of them, no thanks.

A bad days fishing is better than a good days work
I’ve worked with a fair number of aquatics in the past including piranhas, huge electric catfish, electric eels and blue ringed octopus to name a few. Snakeheads just look far worse than they really are.
