Intercooler question

hi all, need a bit of advice on installing my intercooler.
the intercooler is from an l200 warrior and I had it with all the pipes and a fan from fleabay. I've sussed the fitting of the intercooler itself (thanks to you lot) but I was just wondering, do you need the fan?
I've looked on the forum and and I know some of you have used it by wiring it to a switch on the dash/ignition but its wired to a thermal switch on the l200/pajero so can you wire/fit one of these and if so how? and has anyone done so?

Mine has no fan, just the hole in the bonnet with a scoop of course and its great! Im running 33's now and after driving around tonight i find it really good. I dont think youll need the fan, but personal choice.

I noticed yours looked tight to the rocker cover and thats what set me wondering thanks
