If you push the plastic ring down on the top of the seat-back you will see the threaded bar that the plastic knob screws onto. you should be able to pull it with a pair of pliers. Or put a bit of rolled up card inside the plastic knob and screw it back on. The cardboard worked for me as mine had a crack right down it and kept coming off in my hand.
