  • recommended glow plugs

hi this is my first post on here. I've got a 1992 2.4 ssrx surf and i've been having some starting problems with it for a while. It appears to be that the plugs are nackerd although there only about 1 year old. Can anyone one recommend a good set of glow plugs as the last one i put in were the cheapest i could find and don't seem to have lasted. Thanks in advance

Hi mate, and welcome - I would advise against saving money by buying cheap glow plugs, go to your local main stealer and get some from them - you'll be glad you did!

        What he said.

Fitted mine about 3 weeks ago and it turns over first time every time.

If your having issues check the 80 amp fuse in the fuse box before you attack the glow plugs matey.

As MudSurfer mentioned, go to the local dealer. They are actually quite good on prices as a rule for mech parts. It's cosmetics where they tend to screw you, money wise.

Thanks for the welcome and replies. I thought getting plugs from a dealer would be the best option but i was quoted about £70 for them. i probably will get originals from the dealer but i have seen these on ebay and wondered if anyone knew if these were any good. There NGK ones and know there spark plugs are usaully pretty good so may give them a try as there a bit cheaper.
