Ok heres one for you surf boffins (I think thats how you spell it)
anyway
can anyone tell me why the underside of the rear seats, that is the carpet, is velcroed to the rear seat as if its meant to be removed and what are the two (one on each seat) plastic thing a ma bobs attached to a lenght of strap both with holes in them and again fastened to the underside of the rear seats. and i dont mean the rear seat release mechanisims.

Don't know about the carpet, but the two plastic rings on the straps are supposed to be connected to the two plastic buttons on the back of the seat backs when they are put down to extend the luggage space. This ties the seats together and prevents anything pushing into the rear of the front seats under heavy braking
