talking of roughtrax is anyone else getting their emails as plain text but with all the HTML tags everywhere, not sure if it's my email provider marking it as spam or if the HTML header and footers are incomplete or something?
I thought it was googlemail mesing it up. If you want to read it copy all contents of the email and paste them into a notepad session then save as a .HTML file.
Once saved close the file and re-open it with Internet explorer, seems to read everything correctly then
Just thought id post a reply to let you know you haven’t gone un-noticed.
It can be down to one or two things stopping you from reading our emails in your email client options, 1. Your email client is set to 'plain' or 'rich' text format - If so change to html format.
and/or
2. Your 'security zone' on your email client is set to 'restricted sites' - If so change to 'internet' zones.
Hope that helped.
Other than that it will be down to when you first set up your email account or email client would have been set to read in 'text format' only.
Thank you for bringing this to my attention any more problems please dont hesitate to contact me by email at jack@roughtrax4x4.com

That setting relates purely to composition formatting, not to input formatting. That should be decided by the client automatically depending upon the mimetype. Also, suggesting that people enable html or rich text as default is bad advice. Even though the use of them is becoming far more prevalent than one would like, e-mails should be in text format only. Html was designed for web content, not e-mails. Bloating an e-mail to several times it's text equivalent size just for fancy formatting has always been an annoyance.
Edit: Btw, glad you changed the domain name to something easier to remember. Nice one.

We are trying to rectify the few customers who are having problems, 2 other owners have replied with positive feedback on this subject but we will continue to look in to and monitor it. Thanks for your feedback.
Have a good weekend.

Do you have any idea exactly how many people are receiving mangled e-mails? There is the possibility that it could be happening server side to consider too.

I really doubt it would be server side. We have sent nearly 7000 emails to our customers of which only 5 people have replied regarding this problem. As previously mentioned we are continuing to address this.
Thanks for the suggestions.
Jack - clocking out now . cheers
