Use the search function mate. Type in Back Window or Rear Window. Loads of info available on what to look for.

right its not the window lock,

and it is getting power as you hear the "click" when you press the up botton but you here nowt when you press the down button,

im think its the motor as already said,

              so then

1: can i swop it with another one from the back passenger ? and
2: can i do the swop it from been in the back with the window already been up ?

                get someone to help.

press window switch down and get a pal to help the window down from outside.

unplug and unbolt motor (8mm ratchet spanner)

carefully dismantle, rebond rubber back onto metal drive plate and stick it back in truck.

do a thread search for writups on this.

if motor is ok then window relays might be knacked.

they look like this, replacements from Maplins.

                  Motor repair:

                  Relay replacement:

There's also the possibility that it may be the loom in the flexi-conduit between door/chassis.

can i just ask, as its now stuck in the "up" pos

will it be possible to force the back window down by hand or will the repair have to be from inside/in the back of the truck ????????

if you can hear the motor turning it may be possible to encourage it down whilst holding the key in the open position, or getting someone to hold the open button if not then hey, it's not like the surf boot is tiny to work in is it?

Like Nero says, do it from inside. It's far easier than arsing about having to support the glass with the door down.

Try the wiper arm again before you strip the door. If even slightly out it can be enough to stop the window going down, I know from past experience
