Cheers mate! Im sure its going to be awesome!! wanna get back from work tomorrow ASAP to get them on... ive got wheel spacers that need removing so i hope they dont screw me big time to remove them! If they do - i'll just get tyres mounted on the new rims an sort it out myself!Originally posted by mick p View PostHey Rod, I dont understand all the tech stuff but even just looking at the truck wearing those boots sitting on the drive would be the b*ll*x.
Good luck Mate
Glad to hear yours is sorted mate!! Total sh!tter if it was fubared!Originally posted by BEAST View PostLooking good m8. Wait till u see the tyre fitter pump air into them, they look even cooler with life in them.
Also, picked my puncture repaired tyre up this afternoon. So all is well.
Oh yeah. If u come to monster truck weekend, we can take turn towing u, that way u can keep up with us. hehe.
Im lookin forward to getting them fitted. Its going to be great - an cool havin some extra ££ to spend (probably on a new guitar) after selling my current alloys

Ive read up on that - it will need more ooomph to get them rolling due to the extra weight - but i dont believe it will be too excessiveOriginally posted by MattF View PostAm I correct in remembering that they have to get up to some stupidly high rpm's just to actually getting moving on that type of wheel size too?
*fingers crossed*

You need to make a certain amount of torque through the converter, and a big tyre will require more torque to start turning. Not really a matter of weight, a bit like trying to pull away in 4th gear.
Would this be a time when a manual would be better, or would you just eat clutches?
Rod, you did fit an uprated steering damper didn't you? If not, its a mod you will be glad to do!Last edited by Apache; 5 February 2008, 22:50.Cutting steps in the roof of the world

mine roars!!!Originally posted by MattF View PostEver heard a 2.4 scream?

seriously im sure i can live with it!!
Im not a fast driver anyway - it will be a shame to be lacking anything at all extra but its not overly important due to the lack of miles i do.
Honestly - if i was looking at 10,000miles a year + i wouldnt bother with 35's
but b*llucks to it!!!! How often can you look back an say you took a chance
i paid £590 for them delivered. John craddock is over £800 delivered so i wont care if Ebay is my only option!

V8 may be on the cards at one point! cant do any harm can it!
Ive heard manual is best with the correct gearing - otherwise its just lost! without auto is erm...(anyone got a nice way of saying cr*p?)Originally posted by Apache View PostYou need to make a certain amount of torque through the converter, and a big tyre will require more torque to start turning.
