  • Fog light question.

Here's the thing. I bust off my fog light a while back no big deal easy to replace but was wondering whether its a legal requirement. I could go down the route of frenching one into the rear bumper like a couple of guys on here have done but frankly is it worth the effort.

I'm a bit vague on this point as it looks like an aftermarket add on anyway generally and if i drop it off I can't see it being a problem as its not classed as a broken light.

Oh and anyone got a bike carrier they wanna sell to fit the surf or spots they want shot of?

I do believe it is a legal requirement....your Surf will not pass an MOT without it...and if your really unluckly plod could pull you over

      It is a legal req.

I cable tie mine to the inside of the bumper for 364 days of the year.

The day of the mot i cable tie it to the tow bar.

      Jobs a gud n

could try tucking it forward as close to the o/s/rear mudflap as you can get it, but still using a hangy down one, should be less likely to get smashed off there.

or try something like these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d....cWAT.m240.lVI easy enough to fix straight onto the rear bumper

Only takes 5 mins to fix them to your bumper. 3 holes per light, 2 for fixing and one for the cable. Mine are held on with M3 or M4 machine screws and nylocks.. problem solved.
