  • rear springs

noticed some rear sag on my 3l 4runner especially drivers/tank side.

Looking to replace with new so assuming I am not to fussed about adding a lift could someone answere the following couple of questions:

    1) Is there an idiots guide

    2) Milners springs or roughtrax (15% more expensive)

    3) do you need to drain and disconnect brake system

    4) can get hold of spring compressors are these required or will they help?

I know there are a few links already on here but there is some confusion as some talk about disconnecting brakes otheres indicate its not required.

Should there be a noticeable improvement in handling?

    thanks guys

Fitted Milners 20% stronger springs, Didn't touch the Brakes but used spring Compressors ..... I'm not the most able but I managed it in around 3 hours, so should be no problem for a half fit Dud !!!

Undo the panhard rod and the lower shock mount, jack one side of the car up from the back of the chassis rail, then the axle should drop enough to get the standard spring out and in without the use of spring compressors. U might need to push the axle down half inch or so, or get someone heavy to stand on the axle to help it a little. If ur gonna use spring compressors, use 2 pairs.

so you can do a side at a time and no need to get the whole truck in the air

          why drivers side first?
