  • operation shiney club - phase 2

Well just finished off hand washing, waxing and polishing my truck. Jet washed the floor mats and hooverd out the inside. It's looking dam good at the moment. I'll post some piccys later on. Next stage is it do a full cut back and polish as there are tonnes of tree scratch marks to remove, then give the interior a nice dust and polish.

Well done captain, you know it makes sence, just got me tailgate trim back on, ripped off the old skid marked grey carpet and stuck some black on and painted the plastic top trim, at least it matches the rest of it now, got rid of that orrible film off the back glass too, keep thinking the windows open now

Thinking of doing something similar Ian, only I want to mount some 6" x 9" speakers in the tailgate. Was thinking of using some 6mm MDF cut to shape and covered in black cloth instead of the cardboard tailgate trim. Just wondered if there would be enough room depth wise in the tailgate for the speakers?

As I said earlier this weekend, it's too damn cold to do anything at the minute. The temperature is dropping towards 0 degrees again here in the Nort East! Oh for a nice warm garage that's big enough to hold a Surf!

Dont think there will be enough room inside the gate but you could mount em on the surface sort of thing, only draw back is catching when loading stuff in there, someone else did that tho i think, or build up the surface with mdf so its flush with the speakers, dont forget to mark it all up with the gate shut or it wont ummm shut

I was sweating in there today

Your right Ian, the only drawback would be when loading something into the back, it would be a knocking bet to catch the speakers. Gotta find somewhere decent to mount them though, even at my age I'm still a bit of a bass head!

                            Play it loud!!!
