Head probs?

HI all

Have just joined after seeing a hilux yesterday at the auctions. Wanted a Disco prior to that but a surf is all I would want after the one I seen which was a 3 litre diesel auto. after reading a few car site reviews what i wanted to know is it only the 2.4 models that have weak heads or is it all the surf models and only to a certain period? cheers all and now im gonna carry on looking for the one to buy.

on the 2.4,s there was a design fault with the heads but from late 92 to 93 the heads were changed to the 2.8l 3l head.Like any motor tho the head can go

if you put a disco & surf next to each other, same age, mileage and condition.

you'll have more than enough spare in the surf's price compared to the disco's to do the head twice over if it came to it.

i razzed my 2.4 for 4 years i have had every thing go but the head???
but iam ready for it there cheap anyway
