Take the ARB's off and going quickly is not an option.

Who's Be??? Is it Bea Arthur from the Golden Girls????

And as for terrorising the other motorway users - you do realise that if you lose traction in a 4wd, you'll lose it on all 4 wheels in the snow.......70 - 90 in snow......honestly!

Can you engage 4 wheel drive in HI range when you are traveling at motorway speeds 75 - 90 mph, as some new vehicles which use Constant 4WD. I dont mean I want to bomb around in a blizzard at 90, I mean when its lightly snowing or heavily raining, for extra traction ?
And just for reference, the UK motorway speed limit is 70mph, not 75 to 90mph!

If you have a second gen, which I think you do - then with no centre diff, you shouldn't even be thinking of engaging 4wd on light snow....and rain......are you nuts????

I dont generally go any faster than 65 or so on motorways, even in good weather. Cant afford the fuel to cane it!

Oh the 'joys' of 33"x13.5" mud tyres!

Ahem!!! I seem to remember struggling to keep up with you on the way to Sarn Helen one day, when I was in the 2 door, that time we met at the services near Monmouth.....you went tearing off.....that was the day I knew I needed a 3.0L!!!

I'll let the more technical folk get into the details, but you'll wind the front (and rear) diff up and knacker it....only to be used in 4wd when it's slippy as hell, like on loose gravel, mud, snow (probably more than just a scatter)

We have the BWT to sort this weekend, which is going to take some planning, so I suggest that interested parties meet up sometime in Sept, somewhere in kind of Manchester way (central to all) and get some of the super Scottish contingent to help plan routes, camping locations etc. then we will arrange a date and plan to that....
