Has anyone bought their car direct from the docks as here.............
    http://www.motorwaycarauctions.com/
if so did you get it sva'd yourself or use the facility there, it looks like there could be some significant savings to be made, obviously you don't get a dealer warranty but having seen the prices at some dealers that warranty is costing you loads, have a look at the price guide and see what you think.

Wouldn't touch the UK auctions with a barge pole. I mean why are they selling them by that method? If you want to save money buy from Japan using a reliable agent over there, there are a few. There are members of this forum who know much more about it than I do, but after lots of research that's the way I'm doing it. My Surf is sailing this way as I type, so until I get it I can't make any further comment. It might be a lemon but that's unlikely, won't know for sure till it gets here. Spaek to some of the members who deal in, and import Surfs, they'll sort you out, probably sell you a good one for not much more than what you would pay at those auctions, and they'll be right.

As the other John say's dont touch them , they are the dregs left over from the auctions in Japan , the ones that the reputable dealers dont want , they will have bits missing and be in **** order , they will also charge about £550 for an SVA test , which costs £190 I think .

Let me know what your looking for and how much you want to pay , I have a couple for sale .

all dealers dont import their own surfs, some of them will be buying at auctions, car dealers never have a good word to say about auctions but they are always there buying, on this forum that is not the case such as andy and bob import their own they know exactly what they are getting before it gets here so no nasty suprises, but if you know what your looking at there is bargains to be had at an auction, best thing to do is go and have a look yourself see what prices they are making, if you get one over 10 year old it dont need the sva anyway, they not all be good but there will be good ones among them
