OK, so using the aircon pump method, what sort of pressures are you looking at? 100 Psi in the writeup IIRC? or can you go more? what sort of size tank would i need to fill to run basic airtools? Not major - workshop in the back of the truck type stuff, just say an impact gun to change a wheel with, so undo six nuts, take the old wheel off fit the spare do em back up type stuff.

With the engine running so the tank could be topping up as it's doing i guess?

From memory the air con can give you much higher pressures than you need.

I got an old RR suspension air tank to complete my on board air mod but haven't fitted it yet. It will fit just nice under the boot. Brackets are already made and the fittings await me down in the shed.

I got a cordless impact wrench off ebay for about £30, its got two batteries and works fine. So at the mo I have no need for the on board air. Doh!

Unless I get that air horn I been promising meself.....
