    I have had my 4Runner (3.0TD N reg new shape) for a year ,bought specifically for work...but now am in need of getting it ready for some fun. Could I ask you all for recommendations for;

    Roof rack (I would like to get an awning rigged up on it)

    Decent off/on road tyres (that are good for the 70 mile daily motorway trip to site and for some leisurely off-roading)

    Thanks so much.

    Paul as for tyres I can recommend General Grabber ATs I have ran the 31"x 10.5" sze for the last 20,000 miles and they have plenty of life in them and wil do fine in moderate off road terrain. Only £50 / £60 each great value in my opinion.

      Agreed. Dont go for an offroad specific tyre if you're doing a lot of road driving. BFG / Cooper and as stated, General all do competent ATs with popular opinion favouring BFG.

      For roof rack, check out http://www.direct4x4.com/index.php?p...product_id=160

      I've got one, and it needs modding to fit but its a nice rack for the money.
