    Breathers

Ok so there are the axle breathers and a transfer case breather, are there any others?

    Automatic transmission breather?

Just ordered a snorkel - want to take a belt and braces approach.

yup, there's a breather on the autobox somewhere, but not got that far yet to be able to tell you where exactly it is.

Yes i beleive if you have a feel around the top of the gear box youll find one (transmission i mean) But i think youd have to be at a stand still in reall y deep stuff for that to be affected. Nonetheless im still doing mine before before i go wading.

Fishtank airline tube works OK. Had some on my truck for a couple of winters now and its been OK.

As far as where to route it - up, above likely depth of water you'll get into. Mine go into the engine bay.

I've found the transfer case one but it doesn't feel like there's a nut you can get a spanner round. It just feels round and not hexagonal. Has anyone got the transfer breather out? Are there any other breathers anywhere?

You've probably got the dust cover, it's got a nut below that, without a body lift it may be a bugger to get at tho,

Yeah i did have good feel but couldn't feel a nut. Probably caked in crud though. Is it necessary to do the gear and transfer box breathers for reasonably tame water crossings?
