  • Any pest control guys on here?

I have an infestation of Rats in the garden. Was wondering the best way to eradicate them. I have 10 bait stations and ordered a large tub of Eradibait.
Wheres the best spot to place these for optimum effect?
Is there a better (quicker way)? I cant use poison because of the dogs. Im not into humane traps etc. as I just want to rid them

Fun maybe but rats are nocturnal breed every 3 weeks and the offspring are able to breed 3months after that. I have various firearms but shooting an odd one or two dont solve my problem.

have had good results with rat traps (big nippers) seems they like peanut butter and jam,and as its sticky they move the pin and spring the trap more easily

Put the poison where the dogs cant get it, Ive got a dog and a cat and Ive managed to put trays of poison down, in places where they cant get at it.

Get rid of any stuff they might be scoffing if thats possible, bird tables are an attraction because stuff gets dropped all round them. Keep bins closed, all the usual stuff. I suppose its harder if youre keeping poultry or things like that but tubs of blue grain stashed in places inaccesible to the mutt and moggy worked for me.

Hi, I have a constant battle with rats on the farm. The best thing I have found is getting poison in satchets. There's no loose pellets to get scattered about. I stuff the satchet into the rat holes so they have to eat their way out. I check the yard before I let the dogs out in the morning. The rats are gone in about a week but there's always more to move in, especially in the winter. I haven't had any trouble with the dogs getting poisoned even when my spaniel retrieved a dead rat. Apparantly, dogs have to eat about 5kg of the poison before they die.

                            .....................
