im with A-plan
im 27, 8 years no claims, and im paying just over £300 full comp
ive got AA breakdown cover for £30 a quarter and they are pretty good as i found out on the way back from toms farm last year
n meooo i couldnt use breakdown outside the house as i couldnt drive it anywhere to get it sorted thats why nigel came up to clear the fuel line for me
If youre using it off-road, check that youre covered for that.
If you have ANY household insurance or Union membership, then chances are you already have Legal Protection, and as you only need that once, you dont need it on every policy.
If you tell them you dont want it they often give it free....a small saving.
Do you need breakdown cover?....I notice you didnt use it when you broke down recently....often cheaper with AA/Rac over the internet, £39.00?.
If youre fully comp, you dont have to take extra cover for your NCB, as you only lose a percentage, not all, of your No Claims in the event of an accident.
I was with Churchill prior to buying the Fronty, They wanted £200 to swap from an Astra, but when I complained it went to £90 for a full year Fully Comp!!
isn't breakdown cover compulsary for frontera owners?lolol
n meooo i couldnt use breakdown outside the house as i couldnt drive it anywhere to get it sorted thats why nigel came up to clear the fuel line for me
There ya go then....cheapest AA/Rac covers @ home (I think)..P'raps BDT could help us out there
i can certainly recommend a-plan at thatcham who specialise in imports, i have all my vehicles insured with them (fc), though the actual insurance company is usually groupama.
Linda pays a little over £250 for the Bullet, 40yr old, full NCB, fully comp, all the mods (and thats quite a few!!!), me as named extra driver, offroad site cover regardless where you are etc.....with A-Plan.
I paid £1600 last year for 3rd party F&T with 1yrs NCB, parked on the street.
Adrian flux halved that with all mods declared. I know you want to mod skull, So it would be well worth being with a company that will accept them so you dont have to change in the middle of a insurance year.
I tried admiral multicar, they refused to cover my surf for business use, Adrian flux came out slightly dearer than lifesure, norwich union were hopeless £1579.23.
Thats with 10 years no claims, vehicle parked off road & 39 year old driver.
Lifesure have covered my surf for £460, and her surf for £640 & thats with no claims bonus on her car
Adrian Flux.. little over £300 fncd protected all mods new for old and off road cover included.
Lifesure will not actually cover the mods on ya truck as i found out although they want all the details of mods
Go with adrian flux ....they cover mods and then join the AA if you want breakdown cover. the one with the telephone on wheels will not insure you if you off road and do not like veg
currently with Flux at £750 per year fully comp. Due for renewel at end of Feb, so see what it goes down to now that I've reached the benchmark of 25 years of age.
