Wolfhounds
Unfortunately having owned Wolfhounds since 1973, i have been through this quite a few times. All i can say is that when they call it "putting a dog to sleep" thats exactly what it is.
It never gets any easier, but the dog is in peace.

Sorry to hear that Richard it's never easy I gave up having dogs mate I get too attached to pets.
At least with my owl he should live for 35 years he's 15 now so keeping my fingers crossed.
I lost my snowy owl a year ago and was devasted. He used to play fetch with a yellow tennis ball.

sorry to see this...again. it's one of the hardest things to go through since they're as important as human family members and it's us who usually have to decide when the time is right/wrong however you see it.
thoughts with you mate.i swear, it was like that when i got here...
