I think might make the effort and check it out.

Might be worth bouncing this post closer to the time matey as I have a head like a goldfish. once round the bowl and I will have forgotten.

just let you know, i've been the last 2 years and it's rubbish!!...
Jotto, Sumo and Gamedawn will back me up on that i think!!

ok, i guess if you live close and have nothing to do, but expensive to get in, and pretty much just a landrover owners trade show!...

if you have a thorough look round, you might stretch it out to 90 minutes.
nee nar nee nar, i'm a fire engine!

Crikey Mud skipper, whats your company car? a land rover

This will be the 3rd year to the event, bunch of us fill a Volvo 850est and go.

Great place to see how great/crap/expenceive/cheep stuff is, genuin bargins
a bit thin on the ground (due to overpriced rip off LR stuff) but that just makes it all the more fun

Gotta disagree with some of what's been posted. I'm not disputing that if there was another all marques 4x4 show it wouldn't be that hard to believe it was gonna be better, but as far as i know this is not only the only all marques one, it's the only non-landrover specific one.

Gotta accept though that the british 4x4 market is LR dominated and the show does reflect that, if you go only wanting to see surf stuff you will be disappointed, but if you're happy to look at non-vehicle specific stuff, landrover stuff and so on it wouldn't be hard to spend most of the morning wandering round.

Yeah, there might not be anything fantastically cheap and it won't be everyone's cup of tea but it was OK for a day out in my opinion. Depends what you're expecting to go and see coz if it's challenge spec toyotas, don't bother.

it's supposed to be a "national show"... but it was no fun driving 120 miles, paying a tenner to get in and then being pesented with a small hall with a handful of stalls... there was no "show"... thought we'd missed something!!

went back the second year, but it was just as bad!! i've been to bigger and better school fetes!

I went once and wouldn't bother unless it improved drastically .
It's ok if you drive a LR and need a new leather hat

Well you might get a bit of decent recovery gear but hardly anything for the jap market .
I know guys who went last year and told me it was just the same old stuff !
Ok if you live close , but not worth a day out . Spend the fuel , admission and burger money on some new gear and you'll be better off.

I got agree with da slug on this, although its billed as a national show the look and feel of the place is more like a local craft fair.Dont get me wrong there is some good stuff to see & buy if you take your wallet and credit cards and chat up the traders, but you can do that in a couple of hours. There are no demonstrations of any sort and once round is enough,if you had a long drive to get there you just may feel it was not worth it. Mind you there were some nice young ladies with very long legs and short skirts.
