well i went to the desert yesterday (Mansfield) went to see me mate do some motorX pratice,
went to meet him there and got loss. seen some landies so followed them there
and they went in a way i was not lookin for, so i ended up drivein round the desert for about an hour before i found his van and parked up
its a place people aint suposed to be but while i looked for mates van i seen well over
20 landies + sj and other 4x4 also well over 50 motoX bikes flyin round, but it just seems to be if theres space some1s gunna play in it!
i have never seen such a big space of sand quarry (sorry no time for pics)
just wanted not to get stuck and get out

I always carry a heavy duty strop in my truck. If you get stuck you can ratchet yourself out it takes time and a bit of patience but it works. Just make sure you don't overload the thing and take up the slack each time.

I pulled a JCB out of the peat once using 2 strops which were attached to a tree. Only thing you need to do is make sure when you get stuck to have a tree handy.

As for the off road side of things I always speak to the estate owners to make sure it's ok.

That said I am sure we have all had a bit of a daft moment now and then in our lives.
