nope i drove through ALL the puddles/small floods on the way to work and I loved it!

They refused to clean my old Vitara in a Sainsbury's car park once. Shame it's not next weekend as I'd have been in that area. Hope you get rescued soon.

Just a thought, one of those inflatable car jacks (bag that attaches to your exhaust pipe) may help raise it up out of the mud a bit? Get some sheets of ply board under the surf to put the jack on and spread the weight and then get waffle boards under the wheels.

Just as well it happed here in the UK.... I got suck in the Sahara once and we had to get ourselves out. I was with one other guy who had never learnt to drive and was in his 60’s, so not I lot of help! No phone signal or radios and miles from anywhere

NOPE - IT DON'T GO AWAY, YUP IT GETS WORSE.

One of the reasons I was voted IOTY 2007 (woohoo) see below. Exactly the same - Ooooo that looks nice (road tyres, mud tyres were at home, no rescue gear).

£50 to the local farmer as I was quite remote !!! And ebay the next day and bought straps, shackles, compressor, hi lift jack, 4 tonne turfer winch etc

If you still need help tonight then let me know I will be free from 6.30pm and have a few 40 meter tow ropes so we could get a couple (if you have other surfer coming) non winch surfs and pull you out if the road is close, send me a pm with your mobile if needed

Excellent!!! if you guys all got out of there intact, there is hope yet!!!! I have done some fords with the bow wave up to the headlights... but they were short and easy lol Maybe I could do with some puddle action to wash away some of the mud

to be safe put a bridle between the two tow hooks on the surf, if you've got both. feed the bridle through one end of the tow strap/rope, don't use any metalwork to connect the bridle to the strap, rated (or at least substantial) metalwork can be used to connect the bridle to the vehicle if necessary. Make sure the recovery gear's up to the job, and don't stand in stupid places

I'm actually probably being a little over the top, but i'd rather see you out safe than anyone be injured in the process of recovering a lump of metal (edit: plastic ).
